Controlled-beta draft · owner and legal review required before public launch
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Crown Studio through crowninspect.ca. By creating an account or submitting a job, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Acceptable Use Policy. Do not use the service if you cannot agree.
Controlled-beta service
Crown Studio is an early service. Capacity, features, formats, limits, and availability may change. A job can fail, time out, be cancelled, or produce an incomplete or inaccurate result. Download any result you need before its displayed expiry time. The service is not an emergency, life-safety, flight-control, or archival system.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the age of majority where you live and able to enter a binding agreement. Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected account misuse. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards.
Your content and permission to process it
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Crown Studio and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, transform, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service. This right ends when the content is deleted, subject to temporary backups and legal preservation. You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed to capture, upload, and process the content, including privacy, property, aviation, and intellectual-property permissions.
Generated results and professional use
Results are computational estimates. They are not certified surveys, legal boundaries, engineering opinions, safety inspections, or guarantees of completeness. Scale and geospatial accuracy depend on capture conditions, camera data, control points, calibration, and the selected workflow. A qualified professional must independently verify any result used for construction, measurement, compliance, safety, insurance, or legal decisions.
Plans, limits, and payment
The controlled beta may impose file, job, storage, runtime, and usage limits. No paid subscription is created unless a checkout explicitly states the price, renewal terms, taxes, cancellation method, and applicable refund terms before purchase. Preview plan text does not constitute an offer or entitlement.
Availability, suspension, and termination
We may limit or suspend processing to protect users, investigate abuse, perform maintenance, comply with law, or preserve system capacity. We may terminate an account for a material or repeated breach. You may delete your account through the application. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to download available results.
Third-party services
Hosting, email, open-source processing software, and browser or device components may be supplied by third parties. Their availability may affect Crown Studio. Third-party notices are available from the site footer; your separate use of another provider remains subject to that provider’s terms.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the controlled beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or a particular processing outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Crown Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. For claims arising from the controlled beta, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 and the amount you paid for the service during the three months before the event. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without overriding mandatory rights in your home jurisdiction. Courts located in Ontario have jurisdiction where legally permitted. Material changes will be posted with a revised date and appropriate notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where permitted by law.
